The De’Longhi Group has paid €662.5 million (US$744 million) to increase its ownership stake in its professional coffee division, which includes the La Marzocco and Eversys brands. The transaction, completed on October 16, raises the Italian appliance company's effective ownership from approximately 61% to just over 88%.
The move consolidates De’Longhi's control over the two prominent espresso machine manufacturers, which were brought under a shared corporate structure in early 2024. According to a company announcement, the division has seen substantial growth, with revenue rising by more than 50% since the combination was first announced in 2023. For the 12-month period ending June 30, the business generated €569 million (US$639 million) in revenue and is projected to surpass €600 million in 2026.
The deal involved De’Longhi purchasing a 26.46% stake from DLI Limited, a related investment company within its ownership structure. The remaining 11.98% of the business continues to be held by existing minority shareholders. Following the transaction, De’Longhi now values the equity of its professional coffee business at approximately €2.5 billion (US$2.81 billion), a significant increase from its valuation of around €1.28 billion in late 2023. This reflects the strong performance of both the traditional espresso machine maker La Marzocco and the Swiss super-automatic manufacturer Eversys.
