The Italian appliance manufacturer De’Longhi Group has increased its controlling stake in its professional coffee division, which includes the La Marzocco and Eversys brands, from 61.56% to 88.02%. The company acquired the additional shares from minority shareholder DLI Limited in a move that strengthens its position in the high-end coffee equipment market.
The transaction was based on an enterprise value of €2.36 billion for the professional division. This business unit has demonstrated significant growth, reporting €569 million in revenue for a recent 12-month period, a 38% year-on-year increase. During the same period, adjusted EBITDA reached €172 million, representing a margin of 30.2%. The acquisition cost De'Longhi approximately €662.5 million, funded through cash reserves and debt.
According to the company, the increased ownership simplifies its corporate structure and supports its long-term growth strategy within the coffee industry. The remaining minority shareholders retain an 11.98% stake in the division and hold rights that include the option to pursue an initial public offering for the unit beginning in March 2028.
