This lot was purchased at the Mejor taza de Nariño 2025 auction, where more than 350 microlots were presented. This coffee made it into the top 30 finalists and finished 6th in the overall ranking.
The El Diviso farm is located in the municipality of Sandoná, at an altitude of 2,100–2,150 meters. It covers 7 ha, 3 of which are planted with coffee and orange trees, while 2 ha are a forest reserve and remain unused. The farm has 2,000 Geisha trees planted, as well as 10,000 trees of the Castillo variety. The Geisha is grown at 2,150 meters, in the highest zone of the farm. The Castillo variety is processed on the farm using the traditional washed method and dried on marquesinas (raised beds). The fermentation process for the Geisha includes a preliminary dry anaerobic fermentation.
Diana is a third-generation farmer and has been involved in farm life since childhood, helping her father Sergio Burbano. After earning a degree in agronomy, Diana returned to Nariño and continued in coffee production. This microlot is a combination of the stunning terroir of the department of Nariño, impeccable processing and the powerful genetics of the Geisha variety, grown at 2,150 meters.
