El Obraje
Nariño, Colombia
Complex, floral coffee with notes of lemongrass, tropical fruits, mango, and roses. The cup stands out for its character, expressed in a complex high-intensity acidity, accompanied by a full, velvety body. It concludes with a lingering tropical aftertaste.

Cupping profile SCA 2004
El Obraje farm is located in the southern part of the Nariño department at an altitude of 2000–2300 masl, on the slope of a dormant volcano in the municipality of Tangua. The rocky soil here is rich in minerals, and temperatures during the day fluctuate from 32 °C at noon to 8 °C and below at night. These temperature swings affect the density of the coffee beans and shape a cup profile with exceptionally clean and complex acidity.
On the farm of nearly 90 hectares, coffee is grown on only 35 — these are the Geisha and Caturra varieties. Pablo Guerrero turned the rest of the land into a natural forest reserve. By planting more trees and implementing effective landscape design, he was able to preserve the unique microclimate as well as provide access to every corner of the farm.
El Obraje farm gained international recognition in 2021, taking 1st and 2nd place at the Colombian COE (Cup of Excellence) competition, and now Pablo continues to produce coffee of the highest level, chosen for performances at various championships.

Cherries are hand-picked; after harvesting, the cherries are left in open bags for 40 hours, followed by floating, selection, and depulping; then the wet parchment is fermented in dry airtight tanks for 36 hours, washed in clean water, and sent for drying.
