A delegation of sixteen coffee producers from the Pacific region generated US$2.3 million in projected sales after exhibiting at the 2026 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE). The group, which included producers from Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu, and Samoa, connected with international buyers at the major three-day industry event.

The initiative, supported by the International Trade Centre’s UK Trade Partnerships Programme (UKTP) and the Australia-Papua New Guinea Economic Partnership Programme (APEP), resulted in one of the program's most successful commercial showcases. Of the total projected sales, more than US$311,000 came from confirmed contracts signed during the expo. The delegation was composed of twelve producers from Papua New Guinea, two from Fiji, and one each from Vanuatu and Samoa.

Producers were featured in the expo's 'Trip to Origin' section, a dedicated space for coffee growers to present their offerings directly to roasters, café owners, and traders. This format facilitates direct relationship building and provides buyers with a clearer understanding of the coffees and the people behind them, underscoring the value of international exposure for producers from developing coffee regions.
