The International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) recently published its 2025 annual report, documenting significant expansion of its global network and the establishment of a new fund to support women in the industry. The report details the organization's growth to 36 chapters and its support for a community of more than 55,900 people across the coffee value chain.
According to the report, the IWCA's network now comprises over 25,300 active members and reaches more than 30,600 beneficiaries. A key operational milestone was the completion of its regional coordination structure, which provides every chapter with direct support. During the year, the organization also added new chapters in Ecuador and Germany, further extending its reach in both producing and consuming countries.
A flagship initiative highlighted in the report is the new Women in Coffee Access and Training Grant Fund, created to help women overcome financial hurdles to professional development. The IWCA frames this initiative in the context of industry data showing women perform 70% of the labor in coffee but occupy only 30% of leadership positions. The organization also reported directing 83.2% of its $282,176 in revenue toward programs and growing its net assets by 5%.
