The International Coffee Organization (ICO) has launched a new public-facing data tool, the Coffee Market Intelligence Platform, consolidating key global statistics into a single interactive interface. Announced during the 142nd Session of the International Coffee Council in Geneva, Switzerland, the platform aims to provide free, centralized access to market information for industry stakeholders.
The new dashboard includes a wide range of critical data points, such as the ICO Composite Indicator Price (I-CIP), New York and London futures prices, and certified stock levels. Users can also explore global production and consumption figures, as well as import and export trade flows, which were previously distributed across various ICO reports and databases.
According to the ICO, the goal is to provide a shared, credible evidence base to help reduce market uncertainty for producers, traders, and roasters. While the latest full year of data is available free of charge, access to historical data sets and data extraction capabilities are reserved for ICO members and subscribers. The ICO's membership includes 42 exporting countries and 7 importing members (including the EU bloc), though notable non-members include the United States, Uganda, and Guatemala.
