The non-profit organization Grounds for Health will host its annual online green coffee and equipment auction from September 23-24, 2026. The event, which offers professional roasters access to a range of traceable specialty coffees, raises funds for cervical cancer prevention programs in coffee-producing communities. This year's auction also marks the 30th anniversary of the organization's work.
Since the auction's inception in 2009, it has reportedly raised more than $1.05 million for the non-profit's health initiatives. The 2025 event alone generated $28,424. Over its three decades, Grounds for Health states its programs have enabled cervical cancer screening for over 265,000 women and provided preventive treatment to more than 22,000. The organization currently operates programs in Ethiopia and Kenya.
The 2026 auction lineup features green coffee lots from numerous origins, including Colombia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Rwanda. A notable offering this year is an anaerobic natural-process robusta from Vietnam, a first for the auction. Lots of various sizes and processing methods are donated by a cross-section of the industry, including importers, producers, and traders. Bidding on green coffee is open to verified coffee companies.
