The Athens Coffee Festival returned to the Technopolis cultural venue from September 26 to 28, gathering the Greek specialty coffee community for its 2026 edition. The event featured more than 200 brands and micro-roasters, blending professional trade activities with public-facing entertainment over three days.
This year's festival was structured to serve distinct audiences, with the weekend geared towards the general public and Monday reserved as a dedicated industry day for trade professionals. The educational program, titled 'Coffee Matters', offered seminars on topics relevant to roasters and traders, including the coffee value chain, sustainability practices, global consumer trends, and sensory analysis.
Competition remained a central component of the festival, hosting several Hellenic Coffee Championships. The events, which included the 9th Hellenic AeroPress Championship as well as Roasting and Cezve/Ibrik competitions, serve as qualifiers for international contests. The festival also highlighted the growing presence of industry organizations like the Greek chapter of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA), reflecting the development of the professional coffee network in the region.
